According to a shocking report in The Guardian, Epstein’s house manager of many years — Juan Alessi — was told “he should speak to his boss only when spoken to and should look away when addressing him,” The Guardian notes.

Unsolicited direct eye contact between an Epstein hire and Epstein himself was strictly verboten, according to Maxwell’s rules.

Prosecutors have aimed to make Ghislaine Maxwell appear a central part of Epstein’s child trafficking operation, right down to her responsibilities over his employees and her exacting attention to weird details like the request about averting eye contact with Epstein.
