'Notable' Freak Earthquake Felt In Oklahoma, With Surrounding States Getting Reports of a Quake
From NBC News minutes ago: “An earthquake centered near the northwestern Oklahoma city of Medford on Monday had a preliminary magnitude of 4.5.”
Authorities are calling the quake “notable,” with 200+ cities and towns in several states (including Oklahoma) getting reports.
This follows a similar magnitude 4.1 earthquake which was experienced in San Diego, California and surrounding areas yesterday (Sunday). That may not sound strong, but authorities say it is the strongest quake to hit San Diego County since 2012.
And, of course, it’s been a strange 2022 geologically speaking already, with Tonga in the rearview mirror.
This is a developing story, and more information will be added as it becomes available.
