BREAKING: Nevada To Require Vaccinated To Wear Masks Beginning Friday

The US state of Nevada has issued an emergency order, to take effect Friday, in 12 of 17 counties — it will require citizens, vaccinated AND unvaccinated, to mask up.

Mask up! It’s 2020, all over again.

This must be a big blow to the vaccinated there. Some vaccinated, online at least, had looked forward to a return to “normal” public travel and life — even if turning the rest of us into second class citizens through vaccine passports and the like was the path there.

Just literally days ago, the “unvaccinated” — even those of us with hard earned, robust natural immunity from ACTUALLY CATCHING COVID-19 — were dismissed as second class citizens, worthless.

Yet now the vaccinated will have to contend with growing worries the vaccines may not be safe at all, while being treated exactly like all the rest of us.

I’d never root for a vaccine to fail, but this one has, and it’s turning out to be a rapid (if unexpected) lesson in civil rights for the vaccinated masses. The reason why civil rights exist, in the first place, is exactly to protect the oppressed or out of step few.

And now the masses are out of step with authorities, unless they’re willing to go back to mask life on Friday. It’ll be interesting to see how angry the vaccinated are for being lied to by health authorities, and it’ll be even more interesting to see if this rollout of new mask orders — sure to be followed by other US states in the days ahead — will be enough to shatter the vaccine passport concept once and for all.

It’s an awfully ugly concept. And not a constitutional one, in our view.
