Connecticut has legalized recreational marijuana, with sales expected to begin next year. Connecticut is now the 19th U.S. state to legalize recreational cannabis use.
In other news, a large herd of cows tore through Los Angeles after escaping from a slaughterhouse. One of the cows was shot, and the rest - at least 34 of them - were eventually moved into trailers after about 2 hours.
