PayPal Cofounder Peter Thiel Says "Go Long" on Bitcoin In New Hopeful Statements
PayPal cofounder, and first external investor in Facebook, Peter Thiel of Founders Fund had a number of hopeful things to say about Bitcoin and the crypto space at an event in Miami, CNBC reported.
“I think the answers are still to go long” on bitcoin he reportedly said, “maybe it still is enough of a secret.”
Thiel admitted he personally feels “underinvested” in Bitcoin, which is today the world’s most popular cryptocurrency.
“I don’t know that you should put all your money into bitcoin at $60,000 a bitcoin right now,” the tech billionaire remarked. “But surely the fact that it is at $60,000 is an extremely hopeful sign. It’s the canary in the coal mine. It’s the most honest market we have in the country, and it’s telling us that this decrepit regime is just about to blow up.”
Whoa. Just whoa. Bold statement, and he may be right to some extent. The pullout from Afghanistan was the embarrassment seen around the world, and Treasuries and dollars are built upon faith in that military force.
