Next Week's Trump vs. Biden Presidential Debate Now May Not Happen

The Donald Trump and Joe Biden campaigns have not yet agreed to next week’s debate; the impasse has some already suggesting next week’s televised debate will not happen.

Joe Biden

Trump has strongly opposed the idea of a “virtual” debate where he and his opponent come together remotely over a video chat service such as Zoom or Skype to spar on the issues. Trump prefers another in-person debate, or perhaps none at all, causing some near the Biden camp to suggest next week’s debate be modified into a “town hall” event for Joe Biden to address voters, absent any kind of response or presence from Trump.

What a year 2020 has been — and it’s not even over.
